Seoul Tour 1: Gyeongbokgung Palace

Most travelers who come to Korea wouldn't want to miss these famous palaces in Seoul City. One of the palace that they dont want to neglect is the Gyeongbokgung Palace known as "Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven" and was built in 1395. Tourists who want to get here could most likely be amazed of its exquisite designs and how Korean  people restored and safeguard it.

As we journeyed in Seoul City my friend and i took a subway line 1 going to City Hall. As we
wanted to have a long walking trip before going to Gyungbokgung Palace, heading toward it we saw the two famous statues of the two kings of Korea. The left picture shows King Yushin and the Right picture is King Se Jong

We also took a chance to have a picture souvenir and to let my friend experienced the kingly outfit i approached the personnel to lend us the costume... but to our surprise it is really permitted to use it there. Then after that we went to King Sejong Museum..
After having a sightseeing, we saw a lot of things that the past king made during his time including the Hangeul (Korean language) we also moved  forward to King Yu shin museum, we saw the different war armaments that was used before.

After our museum tour we moved to our plan going to Gyungbokgung. It is just 300m away from King Sejong museum. Before we entered in the palace we paid the entrance fee worth 3000 won for adults.

Then we took lots of  souvenir for the different palaces in Gyungbokgung like Gwanghwamun Gate, Geunjeongjeon and Vicinity, Donggung and vicinity Jagyeongjeon and Vicinity, Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, Sajeongjeon and vicinity, Taewonjeon and vicinity and a lot more.

It was really huge place to tour with different views of palaces.

As we wondered there in that place my thoughts kept on remembering

my well loved drama i saw on television. I was really amazed of the infrastructure of the buildings and its arts.

After almost 1:hour and 30 minutes of walking and sightseeing we departed the Gyeongbokgung palace with a great smile in our faces.. for in one way we learned and we experienced the korean cultures,

so if you are planning to visit Korea don't forget to visit this place......

SEOUL METROBANK: How to get there?

Most of the EPS workers here in Korea are sending their money in the Philippines but apparently most of them opt to send it through second party like what they call "Tao sa Tao" or sending it to Korean Banks that probably make their lives more convenient but without thinking  how much would cost them with the service charge, the value rate of Korean won to peso, as well as the span of time their family can receive their money. Maybe some of them want to send their money in Metrobank but since they are new in this foreign land they want someone to guide them.. So here it is a guide for you guys in going to Seoul Metrobank.

Seoul Metrobank is located in 2nd floor Danam Building  120,5Ka, Namdaemun-ro Chung-ku.. How do you get  in this address:

As the saying goes "early bird catches the worm", at around 7 am  of September 23, 2012 my friend and i wanted to send our money to our love ones in the Philippines so most of the time we have to go to Metrobank to remit our money. From our place here  in Bucheon we started our journey by taking the subway line 1 going to Seoul station

From Seoul station we had to transfer from line 4 going to Hoehyun Station (Namdemmun Market). The way going to line 4 for shows in this picture.

When we had to look for subway line 4 in Seoul Station. We simply followed the path until we reached the station going to Hoehyun. Hoehyun is only one station from Seoul Station.

After  that we got off from Hoehyun Station and we exited from gate 6

Right from that gate we simply moved forward until we reached the Namdemmun Market gate 5.
You might probably get confuse if it is your first time to go there so we got a sneak pic as your pattern. The right picture will give you the Danam Building picture. (red arrow)

And we got to Danam Tower at exactly 8: 10am

Most of you guys want to know how much is the charge in Metrobank when you want to send your money and the rate of Korean won to Peso. The teller will till you immediately the current value of your money:

Hence this blog is dedicated to the first timer and  who wants to open an account in this bank. Be sure  you have to secure your passport and your alien card registration id before going there . BE SURE ALSO GUYS THAT YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT IN METROBANK IN OUR COUNTRY( The PHILIPPINES). Having the same  Metrobank  accounts will give you  direct transaction (meaning it is (Seoul Metrobank to Phil Metrobank) and you can go online transaction (2-3hours upon sending it) or regular transaction that will take 1day. If you have a different bank the transaction would be like this:( Seoul Metrobank to Phil Metrobank to your bank)... So i hope this blog will help you alot... Next time that you decided to send your money in Metrobank,  we might bump each other there... so kitakits!!!!!!
